Tigers vs Mountainmen

Tigers went into last weekends game looking to back up a good win against Bluff. Two good training sessions during the week had the Tigers ready to go for Saturday.

The first 10 mins of the game was back and forth with both sides feeling each other out. Springsure were missing the likes of Kane Day, Jesse Day and Charlie Mayne but had still come to play. After 13 mins Gavin Power crossed with Ray Ebsworth Missing the Conversion. Jason King ran 70m metres and used his pace to burn the defenders. Ebsworth converts 10-0. Next up was a great try by the veteran of the squad Kitione Saukura straight under the sticks. 16-0. 2 more tries came to hard running prop Meirana Parata scores and Koby Scott scores out wide to take Tigers into the break 28-0.

The second Half Springsure has gained some momentum through hard work in the forwards and picked up the first try of the second half 28-4. That was the last time the Mountainmen troubled the scoreboard as Tries to Brendan Kelly, Koby Scott, Ricky O’Donnell, Ryley Parter and Isaiah Huet and 4 goals to Ray Ebsworth and 1 goal to Boyze Harbord saw Tigers run out winners 56-4.
